And BTW - lotsa people try to frame this as a Free Speech issue - it isn't.  This is indeed very much about the 1st Amendment, but the point is not freedom of speech.

The 1st point is that he doesn't get to buy elections for politicians who then attempt to deny citizens equal rights and equal protection under the law.  Dan Cathay uses his money and his position and his access to political power trying to do exactly that.

Second, nobody's trying to silence Dan Cathay or to keep him from having his say - they're just trying to get him to stop being such a colossal douche nozzle.

And finally, this is about denying Mr Cathay the ability to impose his personal religious beliefs on all of us through the force of law.  Sometimes it actually is as simple as it seems.
