During the worst of it just a few months ago, we were seeing another 2,000 - 2,500 dead Americans every day.
It's not as bad as it was. We've got it down around 800 - 1,000 per day now.
In April, one of us was dying every 30 or 40 seconds.
The overall rate (February thru today) has slowed to one dead American every 80 - 90 seconds.
woo-hoo
But watch out, because we're still the Stoopid Country, and the next surge is always right around the corner.

I have to make a confession. I wanted Trump to win the GOP nomination. I thought it would insure a Democratic win in the Whitehouse. Sorry. This is all on me and my wasted wish.
ReplyDeleteThanks for that - but y'know, if it had been just "you guys, out there", I think it would've worked the way you expected. And you had plenty of company here in the US and a lot of other places too.
ReplyDeleteBut it's not on you - and it's not all on the knot-head Americans who got too cute by half, figuring they'd voice their great displeasure with the "corrupt duopoly" and still be assured a Hillary win, thus preserving their fart-breathing sense of purity.
We got hornswoggled. Very cleverly and (prob'ly kinda) "legally", but hornswoggled nonetheless.
If we get thru the election with decent Blue results, there's a chance that it furthers the trend away from this dick-swinging conqueror bullshit so we can put something together that looks more like farms and gardens, and less like prisons and sweat shops.
Hoping.
I honestly don't know what 5 make of your political landscape anymore. I just know you won't survive four more years of Trump, hell, I'm not sure you'll get by this election cycle unscathed! It seems Putin has played the long game to perfection after all. No, I am not a conspiracy theorist!!!!
ReplyDeleteOur Canadian PM has his own scandals on the go but I half believe it's along the GOP playbook being exaggerated around a kernel of truth. FYI, our conservatives just adore your conservatives. Good luck this fall. Interesting times.
