SARS-CoV-2 (the bug that causes COVID-19) is mutating - has been mutating - will continue to mutate - cuz that's what these little critters do. It's one of the things they're really good at.
But not to worry (maybe), cuz while these mutations may help the thing get from one host to the next, it's not (so far) making its-own-bad-self more deadly.
