Today's Environmental "Mystery"

It's easy to speculate, so that's exactly what I'll do right now.
  1. The water in all or most of the ponds came from the same place
  2. Testing the water for problems should be wrapping up by now
  3. Florida has some very powerful asshole politicians in place who'll be anxious to suppress the information if it turns out to be bad news for one of their favorite donors.
  4. "An act of god"
  5. "No one could've seen this coming"
  6. "The homeowners should've been more diligent"
  7. "Isn't your job security a little more important to you than the pet fish of a few rich libruls?"
  8. "Have you seen what the stock market is doing for your 401(k) lately?"
  9. "Well, just be glad you don't live in Communist China - they have some real problems"
  10. By the way, why didn't the FBI take hunter Biden's hard drives when they raided Rudy's apartment?"

And of course, there could actually be a reasonable explanation that puts the blame squarely on Mother Nature.

And (also of course), there'll be a concerted effort to deflect any responsibility if it turns out to be an AGW / Climate Change thing. (go to #4 above - and repeat)
