Jan6 Stuff

Notice how the folks who always bitch the loudest about "criminals getting off on technicalities" seem to be the same people who were pushing the hardest for the Trump White House to come up with technicalities they could use to reverse the 2020 election results - and fuck us all out of our votes.

Jason Johnson - in for Ari Melber:

Just in case anyone feels the need to see Mike Lee or Chip Roy as some kind of hero, the translation of their texts goes something like this:

"We wanna do the fuckery thing, but you have to give us some cover - make it look like it's all legal and shit."

Recall professional ethics. When the leaders of state set a negative example, professional commitments to just practice become much more important. It is hard to break a rule-of-law state without lawyers, and it is hard to have show trials without judges.

And also too - Roy and Lee may well have bailed on the election fuckery leading up to Jan6, but Roy voted against impeachment, and Lee voted to acquit, and they both voted against establishing a formal investigation.

These guys are not good people.
