COVID-19 Update

Growth Rates
Cases:
1.07 - World
1.09 - USA

Dead:
1.11 - World
1.17 - USA
There was lots of hopeful punditry yesterday (including your favorite blogger here) about how the numbers may be indicating a slowdown and that maybe we're seeing the beginnings of the inflection point, where the curve starts to level off.

Except for the growth in number of cases in the USA, all the Growth Rates ticked up a little.

  1. My province of Ontario has leveled off it seems, (I hope), at about 300 new cases a day. Which beats the exponential increases it was experiencing. Still, let's give it a 1% mortality rate, that will equal 3 deaths a day. Those will be on top of the many hundreds of deaths already.

BTW, there is a small contigent of Americans down here who salivate over FOX News and think its a hoax. Locals are getting antsy with us gringos. Make them stop, please. Just kidding, we both know they are unteachable.

One of them is hiding as other Americans are calling him "The Village Idiot" to his face.

    1. I think the shaming of "conservatives" will have to continue for a while - keep up the good work.
