Yikes

Julia Ioffe is scary. Brilliant - but scary.


So now I have to ask - will we have to pull the trigger and get into a direct fight with the Russians, or will the post-WW2 order prevail?


I'm afraid it all hinges on whether or not Putin still has enough sensible people around to back him off - send him to his dacha for some terminal R-n-R - and all we can do is wait to see what's left after this recent purge.
