49 years ago, the movie Soylent Green was released - set in 2022 when pollution and over-population have triggered a global climate catastrophe, which in turn drives a political maelstrom.

This shit always starts out with politicians being paid to ignore the warnings of science and the arts, while outright deliberately trying to scuttle any efforts to mitigate or prevent the damage.

What we have to remember - what we always neglect - is that the policy decisions we make now don't just determine how our kids and their kids will live. The decisions we make now will determine how our kids and their kids will die.
