When they tell you there's no use bashing Trump or arguing that his supporters are cultists because you're not going to change them, remember a guy named AJ Muste - a Dutch-born minister and pacifist who protested the Vietnam war by standing in front of the White House every night with a candle.
The press poodles asked him why he did that, knowing his small silent protest wasn't going to change the policy of the US government.
He replied:
"I don't do this to change the country.
I do this so the country doesn't change me."
