These Kids Today


Looking at what Boomers and GenXers have been saying to the youngsters point by point:
  • you'll have to hold multiple jobs
  • you'll never be able to buy a house
  • or a new car
  • there are no paid vacations in your future
  • no healthcare insurance
  • no sick days
  • no paid holidays
  • no overtime pay
  • you'll always be short on groceries
  • you won't have a savings plan
  • you won't have kids even if you want them
  • no retirement cuz Social Security and Medicare are gonna disappear
  • your future holds practically nothing but immiseration and death
And then we sit around and bitch about how nobody wants to work anymore.

    If the "kids" had voted with the boomers and GenX's who are not saying all that, then all that would not be in motion.

      True enough, if I understand your point. I've just noticed an awful lot of younger people throwing ill will and harsh criticism at Boomers and GenXers because they believe strongly that we (older folks as a whole) screwed things up for them.
