No Kings Wrap Up

She makes a good point about the next Dem POTUS. We have to have somebody who'll figure out how to get after people who are trying hard to fuck this thing up for the rest of us. And do it in a way that makes it obvious that it's not just political. The shit Trump is pulling has an inoculating effect, so it's gotta be righteous enough to withstand the shit we're going to get from the wingnut media.

BTW, the Trumplefuck who crashed and burned on the curb (starting at about 16:50) - that was in Denver. A Giants fan to boot. The kid shouldn't have grabbed his glasses, and that other kid shouldn't have tripped him - these are dumb things to do. Of course, maybe the guy shouldn't have called anybody a "fag" - these are "fightin' words". Just sayin'. Very glad it wasn't worse.

Gina Bonanno-Lemos

It occurs to me that with all the bluster and blather about rugged individualism that we've been fed for 50 years, or 80 years, or whatever - everything they've hit us with for as long as I've been alive - it's nothing but a sales pitch, filled with empty promises and illusions designed to keep us in thrall to an unfulfillable dream.

We're not looking for handouts and unearned benefits. All we really need is to feel that somebody has our back. That we'll have some way to bounce back when our inevitable fall comes from being enticed to take the risks that end up destroying most of us while serving no real purpose but putting more dollars in billionaires' pockets that are already overflowing.

We had that kind of backup system once upon a time. But it's been all but completely stripped away, and we're being blamed for the problems created for us by powerful people we're not even allowed to see.

But we may be seeing the beginning of a turnaround now, in favor of some of the old school aspects of a society that knows we have to look out for each other - at least to a certain extent.

Maybe we can get back to arguing about the extent, instead of whether or not we should even give a fuck about each other at all.

MAGA Bailing

Of course, we don't know how true - or consistent - any of this is yet, but there is what seems like some pretty heavy backlash going on.

We'll see.

Building The Permission Structure

  • 70% of us prefer diversity in religion and ethnicity
  • 80% of us say the "melting pot" is a good thing (including 73% of Republicans)

MAGA is not the majority.

Today's Gina

Gina makes a good point.

No other murder victim rates a $10,000 reward for information about their killer. I wonder why this rich guy gets treated so differently.

And also too:
I truly hate it when these jerks call themselves "providers" - like they're the ones delivering care.

All they do is stand between the patients and the actual care-givers, and leech money from both.

The American system sucks and has to be taken down.

Today's Gina

More FAFO - of this is a rehash.

There's something of a movement going on here. Gina says it well - "...people are done - they're just done with it."

Today's Gina

Nick Fuentes is not a man. An honorable man doesn't behave the way he does, and without honor, you're simply not a man.

When a guy is so hateful towards everybody he thinks doesn't comport with his ideals, it always means that deep down, he hates himself. He'll reject everybody and everything that doesn't prop up his nearly non-existent ego - so he won't have to face his own internal demons.

And when his cover is stripped away, he'll move to burn everything down just to keep from having to tell himself the truth.

Today's MAGA Convulsion

I think I've opined on this before, but in case I haven't, here's my crystal-gazing for today.

It's likely we'll see more of these incidents. Probably occurring just here and there sporadically on and around Election Day (although, I think stretching "election day" out over a few weeks blunts some of the potential impact of direct fuckery).

So far, they're actually been pretty mild - not that any of it is excusable, but "the big one" hasn't happened.

Yet.

But we 're going to see more of this stochastic shit played out - specifically in Michigan, and Arizona, and North Carolina - between now and Inauguration Day in January.

Today's Buncha Sick Fucks

Money and power.

I wonder if we can turn this shit around before we completely crash and burn.

The Party Of Violence

They're not all homicidal freaks. But if you're in the market for a homicidal freak, your best bet is to go shopping at a MAGA rally.

The guy decided his dad was behaving in a traitorous manner, so he tried to make a citizen's arrest, and when his dad resisted, he shot and killed the old man. And then it got kinda freaky.

Oy.

Because...

... these assholes act like they're above the law,
because they're very seldom held fully to account,
which for all intents and purposes puts them above the fucking law.

We can all stop wondering why it is that eventually, when the normies figure out just how badly they're getting fucked, there are suddenly lots of dead bodies laying around that used to be government officials.

Madison and Hamilton spent a lot of time not sleeping - worried about putting together a system so dependent on the honor and decency of good men.

They worried that the constitution could be used as a guide book for a scoundrel to execute the hostile takeover of American government.

Well, guess what.
