What the fuck, Willard?

Maybe Rachel's right - he really doesn't wanna be the prez.  Why else does he insist on shootin' himself in the foot practically every time he turns around?

This shoulda been a big moment for him, but he fluffs it again.  I'm beginning to get the feeling that they know he's gonna get stomped, and they're just trying to salvage something that might pass for positioning for 2016(?)  I dunno - it's pretty weird.



So, anyway - at least they have a cool logo:

A Real Comparison(?)

Sometimes I have a kind of Love/Hate relationship with myself.  Especially when I do shit like this.  It feels like I'm goin' along with the crap I absolutely loathe about our current state of "debate".

That said, how am I supposed to resist an opportunity like this?

Let's see if we can spot some tiny hint as to the difference in the work ethic of our major party candidates this time around.

The Romneybot

It's a little scary, but I think that quote is exactly who Romney is.  He'd been told that his audience responds favorably whenever they hear words like "believe" and "America", so he spins up a clever-sounding bit of pure sophistry ("I believe in make-believe because I have some very expensive polling data that tells me you idiots believe in that crap, so that's what you're gonna hear me say over and over")  But by the time anybody translates it to a human-usable format, the adoring crowd that he pays to follow him around cheering and applauding has rushed past anybody who feels the need to stop and wonder if anything he says actually means anything.
