Border czar warns there will be more ‘bloodshed’ unless Democrats ‘shut their mouths’

Tom Homan’s comments come after two men were fatally shot this week at the hands of ICE agents in separate incidents

Following the back-to-back fatal shootings of a Colombian native in Maine and a Mexican man in Houston by Immigration and Customs Enforcement, the Trump administration has tried to shift the blame onto Democratic leaders who have been educating immigrants on their rights.

“I'm scared to death because assaults with vehicles are sky high. There's been a lot of shootings. I'm scared to death that one of these days, our ICE officers aren't going to be quick enough. The bad guys can be quicker,” Homan told Fox News’ Laura Ingraham Wednesday night.

“It all goes back to the Dems who want to continually attack ICE and tell people to evade them, tell people don't comply, tell people to resist, and tell people ICE isn’t a real law enforcement,” Homan said. “There's still going to be more bloodshed unless they shut their mouth and let ICE enforce the laws that they enacted.”

Homeland Security Secretary Markwayne Mullin said on social media earlier Wednesday that federal agents “are facing a more than 1,300% increase in vehicle attacks,” and blamed Democrats, including Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and California Governor Gavin Newsom, for teaching their constituents to “openly defy” ICE.

In February 2025, Ocasio-Cortez shared a “Know Your Rights” guide, telling her constituents not to open their door unless ICE has a warrant signed by a judge and to ask them to leave if they don’t have the proper paperwork.

Newsom also released a “Know Your Rights” fact sheet that included tips for identifying federal agents, but it cautioned: “Even if you believe your rights are being violated, don’t argue, resist or obstruct the officer.”

Mainer Joan Sebastian Guerrero, 25, and Texan Lorenzo Salgado Araujo, 52, were killed by ICE at traffic stops on Monday and July 7, respectively. The Homeland Security Department said an ICE officer fired his weapon at Guerrero because he feared for “public safety,” and Salgado Araujo was shot in “self-defense.”

Following the fatal shootings, Mullin paused traffic stops, advising federal agents to “prioritize other existing operational methods” in an internal email seen by The Atlantic.

But Trump later overturned that order, writing on Truth Social Wednesday, “We must be strong, tough, and smart, and we CANNOT give up one of I.C.E.’s most important and effective Crime Fighting tools, THE TRAFFIC STOP! Once we do, we are playing right into the criminal’s hands.”

“The Radical Left Dumocrats would like to see this done, but it won’t happen on my watch,” his post read.

Homan says he doesn’t ‘know’ meaning behind Noem’s ‘right leaders’ comments

White House border czar Tom Homan said Sunday he didn’t “know” what Department of Homeland Security (DHS)
Secretary Kristi Noem’s recent comments about ensuring “we have the right people voting, electing the right leaders to lead this country” meant.

“So, what does she mean when she says ‘electing the right leaders?’ That’s not really immigration enforcement or DHS responsibility,” CNN’s Jake Tapper asked Homan on “State of the Union.”

“I don’t know. That’d be a question for the secretary. If I had to guess, probably that — you know — only those legally eligible to vote would vote. But I have not talked to the secretary about those statements. That’d be something she’d have to answer,” Homan replied.

On Friday, Noem suggested that her department plays an expansive role in election security. The secretary alleged that she has the authority to find “vulnerabilities” in the election system and put in place “mitigation measures” to ensure local and state elections are carried out “correctly.”

In a press conference in Arizona, Noem claimed that elections were under DHS’s mission of “maintaining critical infrastructure.”

“I would say that many people believe that it may be one of the most important things that we need to make sure we trust, is reliable, and that when it gets to Election Day, that we’ve been proactive to make sure that we have the right people voting, electing the right leaders to lead this country through the days that we have, knowing that people can trust it,” she said.

Noem also said on Friday that she was “still in charge” of DHS, even as Homan recently gained more control over President Trump’s immigration agenda.

DHS has faced heat in recent weeks over the two fatal shootings of Renee Good and Alex Pretti in Minneapolis by federal immigration authorities.

Women's standing in just about any segment of any society is a pretty good barometer of the overall health of that society.

And if my goal is to subjugate people in general, why not enlist half the population to help subjugate the other half?

Divide-n-Conquer works wonders, and there are so many different ways to apply it.
